M/A/B has prepared traffic signal upgrade plans for many intersections on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Typical signal upgrades have included new signal phasing, controller equipment upgrades, pedestrian amenities, and the provision of decorative poles and mastarms. The plans prepared by M/A/B have included signal layout plans, electrical programming detail plans, metal pole loading plans, and communication and conduit routing plans. M/A/B has also prepared project specifications and cost estimates for each signal design and developed optimized timings for traffic signals on the University campus. M/A/B has developed an analysis model using Synchro that includes 55 signalized intersections on and around the University campus.
