Duke University PGIX Air Quality Permit
Duke University Durham, NC
M/A/B completed an air quality permit application and the filing required for the construction of a new parking garage. The analysis included trip generation and distribution for the proposed seven level, three-entrance garage to serve both visitors and employees. The proposed facilities as well as six additional on- and off-site parking garages and neighboring surface lots were modeled for emissions. Additionally emissions related to the adjacent roadway facilities and intersections were modeled as part of the application. The analysis included the use of MOBILE6, PAL and CAL3QHC modeling software. The project involved close coordination with North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) staff to ensure the timely review and approval necessary to meet the tight construction schedule.
